About Us
Who We Are
A community-focused organization working to reduce everyday risks and strengthen local capacity to respond to crises and long-term challenges.
Our Mission
Building safer, stronger communities through local action.
Avesta Nature is a community-focused organization working to reduce everyday risks and strengthen local capacity to respond to crises and long-term challenges. We design practical initiatives with communities, schools, and partners, prioritizing safety, inclusion, and accountability.
While our programs are in development, our focus is clear: build preparedness, protect learning, support climate resilience, and reinforce trust across communities.

Areas of Focus
Our work is organized across four main areas that address critical community needs.
Civil Defence
Preparedness, awareness, and practical risk reduction at community level.
Climate
Local climate resilience education and community actions that reduce impact.
Education
Support learning continuity and skills that strengthen future opportunity.
Social Cohesion
Reduce polarisation and support cooperation across communities.
Our Values
These principles guide every interaction, decision, and service we provide.
Neutrality and Independence
- We do not take sides in political, ethnic, religious, or military disputes.
- We focus on community safety, resilience, and wellbeing based on needs, not affiliations.
Do No Harm
- We assess how activities could unintentionally increase risk, tension, or exclusion.
- We design interventions to reduce harm, including careful messaging and safe participation.
Safeguarding and Safety
- We apply safeguarding standards to protect children and adults at risk in all activities.
- We define clear behavior expectations for staff/volunteers and enforce them.
Community-led Design
- We consult communities to identify priorities and co-design solutions.
- We include local stakeholders (schools, youth, women, community leaders) in planning.
Inclusion and Accessibility
- We aim to reach people who are often left out due to disability, language, gender, displacement, or poverty.
- We design activities that are practical to attend and understand (time, location, language).
Transparency and Accountability
- We communicate clearly about what we can and cannot do.
- We share updates on plans, results, and changes, including lessons learned.
Partner With Us
If you represent an organization such as a school, local initiative, NGO, civil defence actor, municipality, or private-sector partner, you can work with us to design and deliver pilots aligned with community needs.
Partnerships can take different forms, including joint program delivery, technical support, access to training spaces, community mobilization, or sponsorship that enables activities to launch safely and at scale.
